Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have evening rentals?

Currently we do not staff past 7 PM, and all rentals are due back to the marina by 5:30 or 6 PM determined by your rental schedule that day.

What is your cancellation policy?

All cancellations, or reservation changes, must be made at least 7 days in advance to receive a refund on the deposit. No-shows will be charged the full amount of the rental.

What happens if you cause damage to your rental?

You will be required to go through a thorough check-in and check-out review of your boat or watercraft to assure no damage has been caused to your rental while in your possession. At the time of check-in, a Marina staff member will give you instruction on how to operate the machine properly and areas of concern on the lake to avoid. You will also be able to walk through a diagram and physical inspection of the boat or watercraft with a MHM staff member to assess its status before you leave for your rental period. Upon your return, you will walk through the property assessment again, to assure no damage. A MHM staff member may then take a test drive on the machine to assure no damage has been caused to the motor (namely rocks sucked into the prop of a watercraft). If damage has been assessed due to your fault, you will be charged the full cost of repair parts and labor quoted by an outside mechanic.

How old do you have to be to rent a personal watercraft or pontoon boat?

Mile High Marina’s policy is to rent to persons not less than 28 years of age. Although state law requires a driver to be 16 years of age to drive alone, our company policy is 18 years of age. A parent must accept liability etc. Is it legal to drink alcoholic beverages and drive a boat? Mile High Marina does not advocate drinking alcohol or using any other intoxicating substances while renting or using one our rental watercraft.

Do you have a mechanic on duty?

Mile high Marina does minor repairs only. The heavy lifting is performed by our affiliate company Mile High Power Sports.

What is your Rental Procedure?

Please come into the marina 10 to 15 minutes early to complete all check-in procedures and paperwork. Make sure all party members are present at the time of rental check-in to assure proper life jacket fitting. Life jackets are provided for all renters, however, you are allowed to bring your own Coast Guard approved life jacket if you prefer.

***IMPORTANT***

Watercraft (jet ski) rentals require all drivers to watch a safety video and receive safety instruction. Upon completion you will receive a signed safety card by Mile High Marina. All party members wishing to drive the watercraft must be present at check-in or make arrangements to come in and watch the video BEFORE operating the watercraft. Drivers under the age of 16 must have signed parental permission at the time of check in.

If you are going to be late, please let a Mile High Marina staff member know so they do not rent your reserved watercraft to someone else.
